Greetings from the Forsaken Empire.
From: The Imperial Public Relations and Diplomatic Services Bureau.
The Emperor of the Forsaken Empire sends his greetings. He has asked me to forward this letter to you written by his own hand.
_To the Amarian loyalists of P.I.E I bid you greetings. We have had a long history of animosity toward one another and it grieves me to think that there would be no recourse from this path. Many of my officers have poor standing with the Amarian Empire and Concord but we have taken steps to rectify this problem and make amends for our wrong doing.
As you may have heard the Empire has renounced its policy of piracy and have begun to pursue a course of statehood. We make no excuses for our past nor do we seek to hide what we once were. However, we are true to this new course and have no desire to return to our old ways.
I will soon dispatch my diplomat Jhered Stern to bring you this letter and a similar letter to the Amarian Emperor and to Concord. The purpose of these letters is to initiate a summit between the listed authorities and P.I.E to discuss the recognition of the Forsaken Empire and its sovereignty.
I would ask of my former enemy that you stand by me in this request and help us to mold the Forsaken Empire into a new image that the residents of Eve will no longer shun.
I come to you in this letter as a friend and a former enemy to make amends and to forge a brighter future for our two Empires.
The Forsaken Emperor_
Thus I Jhered Stern have executed my duty to my Emperor and delivered this message to you. However, my service does not stop here. If you wish to pursue the Emperors endeavor please feel free to contact my by whatever means.
This is the will of the Emperor and it will be done.
Thank you for this approach. We have been aware that Forsaken Empire has been trying to shed its old image for a while now. We wish you good luck in this process.
We are flattered by the offer also.
However despite this PIE as a Corporation is already dedicated to one Emperor - The Amarrian Emperor.
We have already had many opportunities to join various 'regional' alliances but it has always been the choice of our membership to operate in Amarr Empire space (despite the economic drawbacks of this choice).
It is our belief that our ideals and principles would face too many compromises in any mixed-race alliance. We also believe that we could no longer uphold our claim to be the primary defenders of Amarrian space against the incursions of Minmatar terrorists when we would be located so far away from it.
I therefore have to turn down this offer though we wish you good fortune in your ongoing struggle to shed your previous image. A good reputation is something that takes ages to build - but can be lost in minutes...
Despite the fact that we will not be able to join you we are happy to put old animosities in the past!
