Nice fight tonight.
We won, but it was a close run thing.
Even if it may not have seemed that way in the actual fight.
If I hadnt aligned the fleet to warp out the second I picked my moon... it would have been the opposite fight from what occurred. And even in the actual fight, if I had dropped before Hellcore, we might have lost.
Gaven salutes Sforza
It was a close run thing mate.
Congrats on your decisive win.
Must have felt good to do the 'Golden Fleet' thing again
Once again, I apologise for the smacktalk from our traditional bad loser, I assure you it wont happen again from that individual, at least not under a U'K corp ticker.
Once again i missed a good fight.
Me too Khal, but thats life....
I think the problem came from the mexican standoff we had. Two fleets waiting for the other side to jump them.
Gaven waved his diplomatical wand and the fight happened instead of 2 hours of standing still. Some of our guys we're peeved about it too, but the smack about it stayed in gang. You almost had us there
And most of us have Pat on block anyways.
Aye, I had a glorious weekend camping down new forest with a load of fit birds and then going down the beach and i even got cooked dinner sunday night.
So im not too bitter like.
Man, im bored at work.
I have to agree to Lallara here. If we hadn't agreed on something nothing would have happened at all. And I for my part don't see anything "bad" in such kind of agreements as long as they are kept to something minimal like yesterday tbh.
Good going, and I hope to see more of you again in the future... ( and if everything goes as planned you will continue to not see me )
Too bad I couldn't be there, but RL threw a spanner into the works. Good to seea big fight again, the outcome is not important
Grats to all for fighting bravely
Well the idea was Hells not mine. But I agree.
With that even a fleet, and with both sides haveing good intel we had a standoff where neither fleet was dumb enough to jump in.
So literally the only agreement was letting U'K into the system, meant we actually got a war of manuever rather than a standoff.
We won, but despite the one sided feel of the killboard, it was a close run thing. Large even engagements like that always are.
Well I just have to thank the Rebel Cow Shaggers and former PIE members for keeping the minnies unbalanced

Count yourself lucky.
I was with the fleet all the way from Amarr to Minnieland, and then my PC crashed after firing about two vollies. By the time I got back, people were collecting loot.
really nice fight although i'm a little mad because i didn't even get shot at
looks like ethi in a sacri is no threat at all....
Cant believe I got out with only 13% structure!
Those are the best escapes

you got out? ok, fitting 4 scramblers next time...
i like my new role just siting around scrambling ppl
hehe, actually, I was pure gank set up...(In a Thrasher!)
I was targeting one of your Intys but I got missile spammed, I managed to White Noise the attacker (Windle Poons I believe) and got out before one more missile hit me which would have meant bye bye ship.
Was a very good fight and I look forward to more.
Wonder what kind of machines you people have... I was sitting 235km from the gate in my Thema watching the fight in slow-motion although I have a decent system with a GeForce 6800 and a Gig of RAM (and sound turned off).

zoom out max and just use the overview in combat, hit ctrl+alt+shift+t and ctrl+alt+shift+e to toggle effects and turrets, unselect "enable all sound" in options menu.
that's my usual proceedure to get combat ready in large scale engagements. doesn't make it all go to 100fps again but i end up at about 20-40fps with some freezes which actually works ok.
I assembled a fleet of roughly 20 (maybe a couple more) in Amarr.
We progressed to Rens, where we lost Lall to overview bugs/concord.
After regrouping. We dropped into Pator for a second and let the minnies get a fleet together.
We then moved into Magiko while the minnie fleet, also numbering about 20 moved into Teon.
At this point, both sides had managed to get a cov ops on the other's flanks, so numbers were pretty clear. And what occured was the U'K fleet and the CVA fleets takeing up defensive positions on oposite sides of the gate. Basically if either jumped in, the other would lose.
This was broken by Hellcore and I agreeing that we had a standoff and wouldnt get a fight, so I pulled off the gate to a moon near the Onga gate, and the U'K fleet entered the system.
I ordered my fleet to align and sent my intys to try and lure the minnies to the onga gate. I did make a mistake here in that I should have moved to a safespot and aligned rather than staying at the moon.
The minnies figured out what moon I was at, but my fleet had moved 100km or so from their warp in point. As a result my order for everyone to warp to Onga gate at their optimal went off unhindered.
The minnies instead of regrouping immediately followed and came in in pieces. As a result their fire control was shot to hell, and their fire was spread across about 3 of my battleships rather than concentrated on their primary. On the other hand, our firepower stayed more concentrated and as a result they lost Hellcore before we lost any ships. Basically once Hellcore's scorp went down they started retreating, we caught one more tempest and a cruiser or two, and during the cleanup we caught another scorp.
I think we lost a cruiser or two.
Then we cleaned up and pulled out basically.
