Careful with the threads..
The orc was sweating..
It was warm in here , but he was sweating as much from nervousness then from heat.
He could hear his heartbeat echo in his ears, and he felt .. constricted .. closed in.
Far away in a corner he could swear he heard a snicker. His companions no doubt
sharing a lightearted moment from watching his fate.
The Orc was dressed up as an Ogre..
Ogres are much larger then orcs and the suit was a monstrosity of fake sagging flesh and swollen limbs. He wa sa short ogre to be sure , but much larger then an Orc.
"This will never work" he said to himself. "Ogres are really really dumb.. but not THIS dumb"
He felt as if he was walking on stilts.. and he couldn't damn well SEE much.
"Of all the lame brained, stupid , half assed oof"
He had just walked into something solid. He reached up with his hands and shoved to righten himself and step back from the wall.. when his arms sank into something softer then stone , and yielding.. warm even.
"What are you doing , small fry?" something rumbled far away.. well maybe not far , but somewhere above him.
Retreiving his arms would be difficult until he had gotten his balance back , but the orc leaned back both to clear the obstacle but to see where the voice came from. It would probably be a good idea to address it.
As the eye holes of the suit swiveled back he could see that he had walked into a gigantic ogre .. leaving his arms trapped in its expansive belly.
The thing was huge, and wearing spiked armor that did little to protect its soft abdomen. The ogre reached down and grabbed the orc with one huge hand.
"right , the jig is up. I told them this would not work and now I'll die dressed up as an ogre.. thanks guys" the orc thought to himself
After a dizzying moment of being manhandled he found himself put down on the ground again and he fought for balance.
Apparently he still had some chance to fool the ogre , but he could not for the life of him figure out where the eye holes were now or even in the obviously fake looking suit was on the right way.
"ah.. Captain.. Captain.. um.. Captain !" he muttered trying to remember if he he knew this ogres name.
"Yes ?" the Ogre rumbled "you have anyfing to report?"
"wait.. did something move back there ? is there someone here ? The king should hear of this!"
"uh.. oh.. that ? they are .. uh prisoners" the orc stammered
"Prisoners ? ah.. we get to have a little fun tonight , yes. Any females ? not that it matters much. Maybe I should have a look at them"
"uh ?" the orc managed to stutter reeling from this nasty turn of events
"you are not very smart , are you? ok.. Bring.. me.. the.. Prisoners.. NOW!"
the ogre finished in a roar
"Uhm.. Oh! these are not that sort of prisoners.. these are attackers and dangerous"
The orc was really sweating now , and he was still as blind as a bat.
The sounds that followed was one no warrior would mistake.
the sound of a huge sword being slid from a scabbard
"Is that so.. Well it means fun either way" the ogre growled
Panic was beginning to set in with the almost helpless warrior. He could not fight like this , and his companions would soon be under attack
"uuh.. You know the guard in the courtyard , Captain ?"
"Yes yes.. Fengus.. well he kind of called you a ..."
""What ?! no it isn't true! Fengus! I am coming down there . you try calling me a gnoll kisser to my face when I pound your face in!"
The huge Ogre barreled by and the orc was again off balance.
As the thudding footsteps retreated , he bagan to fight the suit. "get this.. thing off me" he growled struggling with the suit to get out or at least find a way to see.
Staggering back and forth.
He was soon aware of loud laughter .. his companions had come out to watch him battle the Ogre suit.
"Dance some more , Bruiser. that ogre dance is just too funny"
