A new life
Elaith woke to the sound of sobbing. It irritated him alot, but he wondered just the same why the floor was so hard and cold.
Then it all came back to him with a vengeance, the undead monster grinning as it worked it's foul magic on his allready broken body. It hadn't taken them long to break him, they were far too skilled at torture for that. Letting him watch his fellow scouts turn into ghouls was it not torture enough to break any sane mind ?
He sat up with a choked cry of pain to grip again at the scars covering his broken body. it was then that he discovered the sourse of the sobbing, all over the dirty and dusty catacomb floor, skeletal and partly skeletal bodies were awaking to the hard, cold and ugly truth, that they were not human anymore!
Elaith wondered where the voice of the cruel and foul lich king were, those whispered orders that had driven his will had been there for a long time, but now they were gone and he hated to admit it but he was a bit confused. It was not a feeling he liked, he liked to be in control as he allways had been since he had come of age.
Elaith looked at all the sobbing and crying bodies and felt contempt, "so what if were undead, we have our free will again you babies". It was then that the thought came to him, what to do with it? What is left when your undead and don't have a set time to live in?
He got up from the pile of bones he had been sitting on and walked away from the miserable mob towards the only stairs leading out of the tomb. A new desire burned in him, a desire to use his skills at stealth to learn everything there was to know and all the secrets. But he needed a base of operations, so he set out to once again find the dark places where the people like him linger, the people known as rogues.
From the looks of it he was in tirisfal glades, probably not far from Brill. He smiled and started to walk.
