Ransoming (Is that actually a word?)
Hi, not sure if many of you know me yet but i was wondering if you would be willing every now and then if you saw me to ransom my pod or whatever if the inevitable happens and my scrapmetal processing and ship construction skills serve me badly. Or even ransom the ship im in if you catch me and im doomed I dont mind losing my ship or pod otherwise, but i think in this alliance there is far too much pointless pod killing and no roleplay in this area.
I think alot more roleplay could be achieved through this, rather than the current ganking spree and killing everything.
Perhaps i could carry a specific item liek amarr transaction logs or something else important to the amarr empire i could use as something to jettison if i got ransomed. Or you could ask me to beg for my life, or repent my sins
Anyways, i may revise the bad grammar/spelling in this tomorrow, as im a bit sleepy writing this hehe.
Let me know what you think.
P.S. I will also mention this to ushrakhan. I mean in a roleplay sense, annihalating your ships does not help our cause if you have slaves aboard as crew Although im sure most have accomplished Amarrian crews
What stops a person who is blinded with fury towards their enemy from killing you after the jettison?
After all most of the folks on our side has lost some of their family to the Terrorists.
Most of your folks have families in slavery or themselves been mistreated as slaves.
And the biggest flaw in this 'chatting before killing' is the fact of reinforcements coming in and ganking you if you start to chat up on your 'prey'. All kils tend to be hit and run in this conflict because of the response times of the fleets operating in a fairly restricted area.
It's quite simple, really.
Aw, guys, be nice.
Good idea, Anjerrai, but very hard to implement. Heck, it's hard to even agree on a no-podding ROE.
Edit: Sorry, linked to an internal CVA thread on accident.
((I'm the picture of "nice" But it's Garreck's RP stance. Not "pointless podkilling with no RP." There are certain pilots whom Garreck does not find to be inherently evil...merely misguided...and he has made exceptions based on this. But in general, bringing swift and decisive judgement to the terrorist (or pirate, or heretic) is his goal.))
well if perhaps thats a bad idea can we at least organise a 25 vs 25 frigate fight? hehe, i heard one occurred before and id love to take part in another
and it wouldnt be chatting before killing. if you have a pod scrambled it cant exactly fight back, but i do see your point on reinforcements arriving
bleh, oh well, hehe..
((Now those are always fun. And they tend to have a "ceasefire" in effect half an hour before and after the scheduled time of the event, and a no podding rule as well. These organized events, though, are clearly more aimed at fun for all instead of roleplay. At least, that's my perspecive as one who far prefers dynamic rp vs planned events. To be honest, though, we're a bit overdue for such an event. ))
yea, i think it would just be nice to actually have a "fair" fight, where we actually do both engage as well. because usually one side out blobs the other and we eventually disband and go back home mass frigate fighting seems different to mass battleship fighting, as i dont imagine you call targets as much?

Remember that fight over Endor in Return of the Jedi? Think that, minus the capital ships, plus lag.
I'd do it if the minnies didnt super tank em/thermal all the time
Thats why inquis rock so hard
I like the idea of a massive frig fight. I'd definately be in for one. I take it we are talking tech I, right? so no fancy Wolves and Jags as well as gankretris or Vengeances?
Btw, nice little, purely coincidential encounter last night, Anjerrai, I had logged off in that system and was totally surprised that I found you there
That wasnt coincidence, agents locate your last offline location
Shame that claw didnt make it through the day, hehe..
I almost have 2000 posts
Nice to gaius staying on topic
