As you will have guessed by now, we've had some downtime. Basically, the server pinged out at midday on Friday and didn't come back online until a couple of hours ago. On the face of it, it looks like a hardware fault with the server. Unfortunately, Amenworld's "24/7" tech support is shocking, and the problem was only just resolved.
This clearly isn't good enough, and so our co-hosts have decided to move back to the previous hosts, Ev1, based in America. For us, this procedure is already complete (this site is now on the new server "mika") and there should be no further downtimes.
Ev1 are very reliable, I gather we only moved from them originally due to restricted IRC hosting abilities. Clearly, reliability outweighs this, hence the move. The server has a higher spec than "lain" and "ruri", so performance of the forum might be improved slightly, although it is excellent anyway.
Sincerest apologies for the downtime; unfortunately, some of you will find your MunjPets have died due to the extended period without food. I will not be able to recover these, to the best of my knowledge.
Should their be any planned downtimes in future, I'll be sure to post details as far in advance as I can.
Heh, bear with us folks, new server, new install of various guff, scripts still being setup etc. There is no scheduled downtime, but it's best to assume there will be whilst the config is ironed out.
