As you will have undoubtedly experienced, the site has been down for some 48 hours or so. During a routine upgrade, the server failed an unscheduled reboot and it appears that the server owners had trouble ammending the error.
Unfortunately, I had no prior warning of the downtime, other than that a number of upgrades were due soon (unfortunately, the emailing detailing plans for PHP 5 and MySQL 4.* were sent to the wrong email address so I did not receive them.
Apologies for this folks, it was completely outwith my control and, to be fair, downtimes like this are not the fault of the server admins either. I have no plans to move package, but I gather the server operators could well be contemplating a move away from the current hosts.
I'll post more information as I get it, including any future planned downtimes.
In the meantime, should you have trouble accessing the site in future, you may wish to login to IRC (Quakenet, #pieinc) check the current server status. If the Hitomi bot is missing from the channel userlist, our host is almost certainly down.
For those not experienced with IRC, I'll post a How To at a later date.
