Amarr Poll: You want the favor of Job.. uh.. Jove?
Subject says it all.
Would you want Amarr to gain the favor of Jove?
 HELL NO!
Personally, I think the last thing we need is another 'friend' who doesn't agree with our way of life. Sure, they may like us for a while, but then what? All of a sudden they'll be nagging us to give up slavery, or use the opportunity to invade us while our guard is down. They can not be trusted. Look at them, vile creatures with no respect for God.
This is a complex subject. I wish for Amarr to win, but I do not fancy the prize at all.
Even the prize... Jove technology.
I do believe the occaision that has caused all this proves EXACTLY how trustworthy Jove technology is.

I was wondering if anybody else saw the irony in all of this. New Jovian tech jump drive splatters test pilot all over the galaxy. Jove request assistance in recovering test pilot's bits and peices...and oh, by the way, if you gather the most bits and peices, you get some of that amazing Jove tech.
Somewhere, there is a room full of Jovians, watching us all scramble for their "favor," laughing their advanced-tech bums off.
The hubris of the Jove will be their undoing, and whoever stands closest them will be caught in the shockwave. In the mean time, they seem content to play their little games with all of us.
I gave my jovian remains to Ethidium out of respect for what he was attempting to accomplish, and because he is a friend. But I find this whole concept of earning favor with a race that really couldn't care less about all of us through the recovery of the remains of their emissary to be bizarre and more than a little grotesque.

Damn straight. I have destroyed the disgusting pieces of vile Jovian excrement I has the misfortune to find secreted in my hanger... There are those who can overlook the Joves part in our history, and those who cannot.
From a purely tactical poitn of view, i think towaste this opportunity would be foolish.
While I stand by the morality of the scriptures, we must place to survival of our Empire above all else. To surpsass the chance at gaining a technological superirority over our foes would be down-right foolish, especially if by forsaking it we actually GIVE it to them!
And I want to see how my Punisher looks cloaked...
